Life Scenes is four sound bites of sonic and visual experiences that touched me briefly during my day to day life. BBQ, Beer and Wind is exactly that: the wind blowing over open beer bottles and the food sizzling on the grill. Whilst walking, I saw a leaf fall from a tree and was inspired to write Leaf and Shadow. At first, the leaf was distant from its shadow, then nearing each other until they became moulded into one. Boiling a Kettle is a journey of building tension, anticipation and amplitude, rich in subtle changes of sounds, which I experience many times a day. Fun is the process of freeing oneself from rigidities in life developing into an uncontrolled stupor independent of norms and expectations.
